Real question remains is when will Ubisoft stop resisting to change their previous bad choice. įinalizing, Ubisoft WILL return to Steam as it's a Financial thing despite of you or another loving or hating the game stores. And if we take into account to the previous example of EA (Origin store) games that had done what Ubisoft is currently doing around 10 years ago to leave Steam, come to that Financial impasse to be forced to return to Steam funny enough in SAME year Ubisoft left the Steam to pump up their dying playerbase as. Steam isn't evil because Steam never did that Epic tries to choke other stores but Steam instead promotes every game can be sold in as many stores as possible, not fearing the competition at all. So Ubisoft jumped into a sinking boat as their own decisions also contribute to the ever going down of their Stock Shares as shown in so currently Ubisoft is resisting to come back to Steam but in the future, purely Financially, there will come a time that Ubisoft will have to choose Steam once more to reach 25 million customers favoring them or end the same fate like Blizzard and Activision of. However Epic already lost their bet as 3 years ago literally ALL the new releases were Epic paid snatched to be released by them and after 3 years, almost no sane publisher releases their new games on Epic anymore, like current Spiderman Remastered by Sony. And they chosen to be paid by Epic Games Store as Steam and other stores don't pay Publishers to release their games on their store, only Epic does. Ubisoft has left Steam around 3 years ago, making such statement even funny enough Ubistore does exactly the same things that they criticize Steam about, just hypocrisy. Steam is not a leech, in fact none of the game stores are even if some are considered evil (because of their atrocious prices on old games) that eventually reflected back to them like both Blizzard and Activision were long time evils, now Bankrupt, waiting for Microsoft to buy them after legislation issues.
